THE SPEAKROOM“The Mystical Life”

A carmelite foundation for souls. The speakroom is a small room in the monastery where cloistered religious can speak to those in the outside world. It is a space where the ways of God can be made known to others: secular and consecrated, young or old, near or far. I use this app on my lunch breaks to relax and calm my mind. I also use it at night before bed to help me relieve any tension/anxiety from the day. Quiets your mind to help you focus on meditation so you can have a lovely conversation with God.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel In this podcast homily, Father Robert Elias Barcelos explains that, despite great persecutions through the centuries and amidst their changing culture, the desert fathers of Carmel maintained their contemplative life of peace, because they had recourse to God the Father and most especially, to Mary, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

Perfect Love Exemplified – Saint John of the Cross In this homily, Father Robert Elias Barcelos, a Carmelite priest, explains that true holiness and joy come from abiding and sharing in perfect love, through the power of the Holy Spirit, as exemplified by Saint John of the Cross.
